1. University of Toronto

6. Western University

7. Université de Montréal

Université de Montréal ranks 7th in Canada. The French language public research university based in Montreal also has some 67,000 students including around 10,000 foreign students. 

8. University of Calgary

University of Calgary is the eighth highest-ranked university in Canada in 2023 and then 182nd globally.

9. McMaster University

Number 9 McMaster University also ranks 189th in the world university rankings. The university is located in Hamilton, Ontario, and is also best known for its prestigious medical school. 

10. University of Ottawa 

Tenth Canada ranking University of Ottawa is also ranked 203rd worldwide.
